Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang is scheduled to travel abroad for further medical treatment after being hospitalized at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) due to a sudden illness.
A statement released by the Presidency revealed that the Vice President fell ill after work on Friday, March 28, and received urgent treatment at UGMC the following day.
Medical experts have advised that she seek additional specialized care overseas to ensure a full recovery.
The statement, signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu (MP), Spokesperson to the President and Minister for Government Communications, reassured the public that the Vice President’s condition is being carefully managed by top medical professionals.
