Ghanaian forward Prince Kwabena Adu, playing for Viktoria Plzeň, has revealed that Luis Suarez and Asamoah Gyan are his childhood idols, significantly influencing his football career.

In an interview with Flashscore, Adu expressed his deep admiration for the two goal-scoring legends and explained how they have shaped his playing style. “Growing up I watched Luis Suarez and Asamoah Gyan. You know Gyan is a Ghanaian legend who did a lot for our national team,” Adu stated.

Adu particularly identifies with Suarez, modeling his game after the Uruguayan’s drive and skill. “My style is very similar to Luis Suarez, so I watch his videos a lot. The way Suarez scores, runs, his movement, with and without the ball, and off the pitch. I like everything about him and really learn a lot from him,” he added.

He is inspired by Suarez’s dedication and passion, noting, “The way he plays and gives his all is the reason why he succeeds everywhere he goes. Growing up, I loved watching him and I even still watch him in the MLS.”

The 21-year-old Ghanaian forward is currently making his mark in European football, having scored 10 goals in 28 appearances for Viktoria Plzeň this season.

As he prepares for the Europa League Round of 16 against Lazio, he continues to draw inspiration from his childhood idols.
