Policewoman Arrested, Interdicted for Scalding Colleague with Boiling Water

A heated argument between two police officers took a shocking turn when one allegedly poured boiling water on the other, leaving her with severe burns.

The Ghana Police Service has detained and interdicted Constable Alonsi Elizabeth, a female officer, for allegedly inflicting severe injuries on a colleague by pouring boiling water on her after a heated argument.

According to reports, the dispute between the two officers escalated, leading Constable Alonsi to douse her colleague with hot water, causing serious burns from the face to the chest.

The shocking incident has sparked widespread condemnation.

A police statement issued on Tuesday, March 25, confirmed that the accused officer is in custody and will face both internal disciplinary measures and legal proceedings.

Meanwhile, the victim, who sustained significant burns to her face and back, is in stable condition and receiving medical care and psychological support.
