Patrick Yaw Boamah, MP for Okaikwei Central, has made an impassioned plea to former Presidents John Agyekum Kufuor and Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to step in and help resolve escalating tensions within the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

With factional disputes and power struggles intensifying ahead of the party’s 2026 presidential primaries, Boamah stressed that the respected duo’s intervention is crucial to restoring harmony and refocusing the party on its shared values and future goals.

Speaking in an interview on June 23, Boamah voiced his concern over the deepening divisions and public disagreements rocking the party.

He reminded that the NPP has been fortunate to have two former presidents among its ranks and urged them to convene party members for an honest and unifying dialogue.

“This party has produced two presidents. We are fortunate to have two former presidents alive,” Boamah said.

Kufdour“I am calling on them to take action and bring order because this party gave them their platform. If we are facing turmoil, they should bring people together for a heart-to-heart conversation.”
