National Organiser Henry Nana Boakye Responds to NDC’s Conspiracy Theories with Confidence
- The party firmly denies any plans to manipulate the 2024 elections
- NPP stresses that Ghanaians are determined to maintain peace
- The NPP dismisses the NDC's accusations of military involvement in election
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has firmly rejected accusations of plotting to rig the 2024 elections or incite violence.
At a press conference on November 20, National Organiser Henry Nana Boakye emphasized that Ghanaians are committed to peace and will not allow any disruptions to the election process.
Boakye reiterated that the NPP has no intention of backing any failed leader, specifically criticizing former President John Mahama, stating that history and the future would not favor him or Ghana under his leadership.
Highlighting Ghana’s track record as a democratic leader in Africa, Boakye assured that the elections would be conducted fairly, transparently, and in accordance with the will of the people. He also dismissed claims from the National Democratic Congress (NDC), accusing the opposition party of fabricating false allegations of election rigging.
The NPP also refuted the NDC’s concerns about military involvement in the Ashanti Region, calling their accusations groundless and unsupported by evidence. The party vowed to ensure that the elections are peaceful, free, and fair, and stated that any attempts to disrupt the democratic process will be swiftly countered.
This response follows the NDC’s similar press briefing on November 19, where they raised alarms about alleged election manipulation, particularly in the Ashanti Region.
