The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Kodua, has publicly apologized to Ghanaians for the mistreatment and unmet expectations they experienced under the party’s leadership.

He acknowledged that the NPP, after coming to power, disappointed many of their loyal supporters, particularly in the lead-up to the 2024 elections.

Kodua admitted that the party had failed to remember the sacrifices made by its supporters, noting how their involvement was overlooked.

He expressed regret for not delivering the necessary infrastructure and for neglecting key individuals, such as those who sold property to fund the party’s cause in 2016, lawyers who worked as polling agents but were forgotten, contractors left unpaid, and young people who hoped for opportunities that never came.

“Politics is not just about projects; it’s about human management and making people feel valued,” Kodua said, reflecting on the party’s failure to connect with its base.

He also added, “At some point, we forgot how we came to power. We need to seek reconciliation with God, so He may remember us. With faith, we believe the battle is still the Lord’s, and by 2028, we will come back stronger.”
