“Rest in peace, sis. Pat Ugwu. @patpat_ugwu, so we won’t get to work again? Death, why? God, please. Rest in peace, Pat. May your soul rest in the bosom of the Lord,” he wrote, deeply grieving her loss.
Emeka also expressed concern over the recent string of tragic losses in the entertainment industry, asking for divine protection for his colleagues. “God, please protect all my colleagues, especially those I’m close to. This unusual death is frightening. I proclaim life to everyone close to me in 2025 in the precious blood of Jesus. Amen,” he added.
The cause of her death remains unclear. Nollywood stars, including Rita Edochie, Destiny Etiko, Nkechi Blessing, and Kevin Mike, have all paid tribute to the late actress.
Destiny Etiko’s reaction was one of shock, writing, “Jesus, nooooo,” while Mike posted, “Chai, just woke up this morning to hear the death of one of our crew and casts @patpat_ugwu. Rest in peace, dear.”
Pat, who had suffered the loss of her father in 2021, will be laid to rest on February 7, 2025.
