President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has urged Ghanaians not to re-elect any former president he deems as having failed, stating that such leadership would only hinder the country’s progress.
Speaking on November 25, 2024, during his three-day campaign tour of the Ashanti Region, the president made the remarks while commissioning the Sekyere Afram Plains District Hospital in Drobonso, Sekyere Afram Plains.
He called on Ghanaians to vote overwhelmingly for the NPP’s flagbearer, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, to continue what he described as his administration’s “good works.”
“We don’t want a failed president to come back and worry us. We need a vigorous young man with loyalty and vision to continue the good governance we’ve started,” Akufo-Addo said, adding that unfinished projects and policies under his government risk being abandoned under an opposition leader.
Drobonsohene Nana Dwamena Dankwa Dubisia expressed gratitude for the new hospital and encouraged the government to continue initiating development projects in the area.
