The newly appointed Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Lawra in the Upper West Region, Alhaji Adams Muaza, has passed away.

Graphic Online has learned that Alhaji Muaza died on Tuesday morning, marking yet another tragedy for the municipality.

His death comes just weeks after the heartbreaking incident in which seven students drowned in the Black Volta River at Dikpe.

Appointed and confirmed in April this year, Alhaji Muaza had been battling ill health and had not yet fully assumed office.

His untimely death has left the community in shock and mourning once again.
