Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has characterized the party’s 2024 electoral triumph as a profound expression of the people’s will, describing it as more than just a political win—it was a spiritual and national calling.
Speaking in an interview Kwetey reflected on the NDC’s decisive victory over the New Patriotic Party (NPP), stating that it was driven by the very essence of Ghana’s collective spirit. “This wasn’t an ordinary win—it came from the soul of Ghana,” he emphasized.
While celebrating the historic achievement, Kwetey also issued a sober reminder to his party: avoid complacency and stay committed to the people’s needs.
He warned that the overwhelming support is not just a reward but a responsibility to deliver real change.
“It’s a humbling victory—one that should ground us, not inflate our egos,” he said. “We must rise to meet the expectations of the people who placed this enormous trust in us.”
