Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the New Patriotic Party’s 2024 vice-presidential candidate, has shown immense support for the victims of the Adum-PZ fire outbreak with a generous donation of GHC150,000 and 500 bags of cement.
Known for his passionate and vocal stance, “Napo” made the contribution after visiting the fire scene on Monday to express solidarity with the affected traders. Of the GHC150,000, GHC100,000 was sourced from the MP’s common fund, a surplus from his time serving as the Member of Parliament for Manhyia South.
In addition to Napo’s donation, Hon. Baffour Awuah Esq., MP for Manhyia South, contributed 100 bags of cement, bringing the total number of cement bags to 600.
This donation is a vital boost for the fire victims, whose livelihoods were devastated by the destructive blaze.
Dr. Prempeh urged the traders to stay united in the face of adversity and called on city authorities to provide support to all affected individuals without bias.
