In his final State of the Nation Address, outgoing President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo assured President-elect John Dramani Mahama of his unwavering support as he prepares for his second term.

Akufo-Addo, reflecting on their long-standing friendship since their first entry into Parliament in 1997, congratulated Mahama on his comeback victory in the December 7 elections.

He expressed his confidence that Mahama would be supported by all Ghanaians in his leadership, wishing him success as he steps into office on January 7, 2025.

Akufo-Addo also took a moment to thank the people of Ghana for entrusting him with the nation’s leadership over the past eight years, calling it the greatest privilege of his life. As he prepares to leave office, Akufo-Addo emphasized his deep love for the country and belief in its bright future.
