Hajia Saudatu Sulemana Muntaka, mother of Asawase MP and Interior Minister, Alhaji Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak, has passed away at 83.
She died on Monday afternoon at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital after a brief illness. Her passing coincided with the day her son officially took office as Interior Minister following his recent swearing-in by President John Dramani Mahama.
Muntaka Mubarak has often attributed his success to his mother’s guidance and unwavering support. Tributes have since poured in from constituents and well-wishers, offering condolences and prayers.
The Interior Minister has arrived in Kumasi to oversee preparations for her burial, scheduled for Tuesday.
