Alan Kyerematen Pledges 50% Female Leadership

- Kyerematen vows that half of all government positions will be filled by women
- The plan includes 60% youth involvement
- The initiative seeks to break traditional barriers
Hopeson Adorye, a key figure in Alan Kyerematen’s presidential campaign, has announced a groundbreaking pledge: if elected, Alan Kyerematen’s government will include 50% women.
During a recent event in the Volta Region as part of the Movement for Change Caravan Tour, Mr. Adorye emphasized that this commitment is more than just words—it’s a strategic plan to enhance women’s leadership roles in governance.
“Alan is serious about changing the narrative for women in leadership,” Mr. Adorye declared, earning enthusiastic applause from the crowd as Alan Kyerematen’s empowering message resonated strongly.
In addition to gender parity, Alan Kyerematen’s Great Transformational Plan (GTP) aims for 60% youth participation, with half of those positions reserved for women.
“We are dedicated to ensuring women have a genuine stake in governance. While many governments merely pay lip service, Alan is committed to making this a reality,” he asserted.
Mr. Adorye also highlighted the need for reforms that empower women to secure their parliamentary seats, noting that the current political landscape is often biased against them.
“We need a system that supports women candidates to combat the intense competition they face during elections,” he stressed.
Reflecting on his own upbringing in a rural community, Mr. Adorye recognized the vital contributions of rural women, reiterating Alan Kyerematen’s commitment to uplift and empower them.
