The Minority in Parliament is urgently calling for the Minister of Health to appear before the House to deliver a detailed briefing on the recent surge of COVID-19 cases at the University of Ghana.

They warn that the situation is rapidly escalating, causing widespread fear and anxiety in various parts of the country.

The Minority insists on full transparency from the Minister, urging clear communication about the current state of the pandemic to keep the public well-informed.

“We must act now to avoid repeating the devastating experience we faced previously. I urge the respected House leadership to arrange for the Health Minister to come and provide a thorough update,” Minority Chief Whip Frank Annoh-Dompreh declared during parliamentary proceedings.

“This is a critical issue that requires the Minister’s response to clarify whether COVID-19 is indeed making a comeback,” added Nurudeen Muhammed Mumuni, MP for Nalerigu/Gambaga.
