Medeama Coach Ibrahim Tanko Reflects on Missed Chances Despite Victory Over Basake Holy Stars

Tanko Expresses Frustration Over Missed Opportunities Despite Medeama’s Win

Medeama Sporting Club head coach, Ibrahim Tanko, has expressed disappointment over the number of missed opportunities in his team’s 2-1 win over Basake Holy Stars in a 2024-2025 Ghana Premier League match.

The game, played at the TNA Stadium in Tarkwa, marked Medeama’s second consecutive victory.

Tanko, while acknowledging his team’s performance, voiced his concerns about their inability to maintain a clean sheet and their struggles to secure games early. “I think the boys did well, but as I said last time, we need to learn how to kill the game off, even in the first half. We had chances to score two or three goals in the first half, which would have made things easier for us,” Tanko stated.

Medeama’s win lifted them to fourth place in the league standings, while Basake Holy Stars suffered their ninth consecutive game without a victory.
