President John Dramani Mahama has pledged to forward findings from the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Committee to investigative agencies for thorough inquiries into alleged misappropriation of state resources.

Speaking during his ‘Thank You’ tour in the Central Region on Thursday, February 6, Mahama confirmed that the committee’s report will be presented next week and immediately referred to the appropriate bodies for action.

Reiterating his administration’s commitment to combating corruption, Mahama emphasized that accountability remains central to his leadership. He assured Ghanaians that his government prioritizes the interests of all citizens, not just an elite few.

“Next week, the ORAL committee will present its report to me, and I will refer it to investigative organizations to probe individuals who have misused the resources of this nation,” he declared.

Mahama also outlined plans to strengthen accountability measures, including implementing a code of conduct for public officials. He stressed that both former and current officeholders would face the same rigorous ethical standards, ensuring fairness and integrity in governance.

“While investigating the past regime under Operation Recover All Loot, we’ll ensure current officials are held to the same ethical standards,” he stated.

Mahama’s remarks underline his commitment to promoting good governance and enhancing institutional oversight to curb corruption effectively.
