President John Dramani Mahama has arrived in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to participate in the African Union’s 38th Ordinary Assembly, where African leaders are convening to shape the continent’s future.

The two-day summit will focus on critical issues such as peace and security, economic integration, institutional reforms, and Africa’s role in global governance.

Key discussions will include the African Continental Free Trade Area, the Silencing the Guns initiative, and the bloc’s influence in the G20.

Leaders will also address climate change, development financing, and a renewed push for reparations related to slavery and colonialism under the theme, “Justice for Africans and People of African Descent Through Reparations.”

President Mahama’s presence highlights Ghana’s commitment to African unity and sustainable growth, as he engages in high-level talks to strengthen partnerships and drive progress across the continent.
