YEA, Labour Ministry & GIZ Ghana Unveil Work Abroad Programme

Empowering Ghanaian Youth with Global Job Opportunities

The Ministry of Labour, Jobs & Employment, in partnership with the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) and GIZ Ghana, has launched the Work Abroad Programme, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at providing young Ghanaians with international job opportunities.

Unveiled on March 19, this programme is a strategic move to tackle youth unemployment by equipping skilled individuals with the resources, guidance, and support to secure jobs beyond Ghana’s borders.

Speaking at the launch, YEA CEO Malik Basintale highlighted the programme’s transformative potential, stating, “This initiative is about creating opportunities, building brighter futures, and ensuring that our young people can thrive both locally and internationally.”

The event brought together key stakeholders from government, international organizations, and the private sector to discuss the programme’s implementation and benefits.

The collaboration with GIZ Ghana is expected to enhance the initiative by leveraging global networks and employment facilitation expertise.

With this initiative now in motion, young Ghanaians eager to gain international work experience are encouraged to seize this opportunity, as the government remains committed to supporting participants and fostering economic growth through global exposure.
