President John Dramani Mahama departed Accra on Wednesday afternoon for Germany to attend the prestigious Munich Security Conference.
The trip, spanning February 12 to February 17, includes participation in the African Union (AU) Conference in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Presidential Spokesman and Minister of State in Charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, described the journey as crucial for advancing Ghana’s role in global and regional security conversations.
As Chairman of the Tana Forum, a prominent African security think tank, Mahama is set to influence dialogues on the continent’s evolving security challenges.
At the Munich Security Conference, he will join the opening forum, engage in high-level bilateral discussions with global leaders, and present his vision at a Tana Forum-organized side event on emerging security threats in Africa and beyond.
