In a ceremony at the Jubilee House on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, President John Dramani Mahama swore in former Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo and 30 other distinguished individuals as members of the Council of State.
Former Speaker of Parliament Edward Doe Adjaho was appointed Chairman of the Council, which serves as a key advisory body to the President on national governance.
