Former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, has sadly announced the passing of his beloved mother, Mrs. Comfort Agyepong (née Adjoa Badu).

She passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) after battling a prolonged illness.

In an emotional tribute on social media, Ing. Kwabena Agyepong described his mother as a pillar of strength, love, and resilience, noting that she now rests alongside his late father, Justice Kwadwo Agyei Agyepong.

“Mrs. Comfort Agyepong was the devoted wife of the late Justice Kwadwo Agyei Agyepong, one of the three High Court judges who were kidnapped and brutally murdered on June 30, 1982, during the early months of the 31st December Revolution. She was the last surviving spouse of the Martyrs of the Rule of Law.”

He assured that funeral arrangements will be communicated in due course.
