Mohammed Kudus’ day turned into a nightmare as he was sent off for a series of reckless challenges against Tottenham Hotspur.
The West Ham United winger, who had given his team an early lead, was dismissed after a VAR review deemed his actions worthy of a red card.
Kudus’ dismissal came after he clashed with Tottenham’s Micky van de Ven, striking the Dutchman in the face while he was on the ground. He then inadvertently barged into Richarlison and later hit out at Pape Sarr. The series of incidents led to a chaotic melee on the pitch.
Despite Kudus’ early goal, West Ham were unable to hold on to their lead. Tottenham dominated the second half, scoring four goals to secure a comfortable victory. The defeat leaves West Ham in 14th place in the Premier League table.
