Renowned Ghanaian journalist Kofi Adomah Nwanwanii has emotionally opened up for the first time about the eye injury he sustained while on assignment in Dormaa, shedding light on the harrowing experience and his ongoing recovery.

Speaking from his Oyarifa residence in Accra, Kofi Adomah detailed the terrifying ordeal, expressing deep gratitude for the overwhelming support he has received.

He revealed that the incident unfolded when he received a call from the Dormaahene, inviting him to cover the Kwafie Festival. Despite feeling unwell, he honored the invitation and proceeded with his coverage.

“While covering the event, I received another call from someone who claimed there were other aspects of the festival I needed to document. As I moved to that location, I suddenly saw a gunman fire in my direction, and I began to bleed from my eye,” he recounted, his voice heavy with emotion.

Kofi Adomah’s revelation has sparked widespread concern, with many calling for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
