Ghana’s Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has pledged to organize a grand nationwide celebration for the Black Stars if they triumph at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Riding high after recent wins over Chad and Madagascar, the national team tops Group I with 15 points and four games left to play in the qualifiers.

In a recent interview, Adams—who also serves as the Member of Parliament for Buem—reaffirmed the government’s strong backing of the team’s World Cup campaign. He revealed plans for an elaborate victory tour across Ghana if the Black Stars bring home the trophy.

According to Adams, the entire squad would be flown first class and paraded through every district in the country to celebrate what would be a historic win.

“If the Black Stars win the World Cup, I will arrange first-class flights for all the players to tour every district in Ghana to celebrate,” he declared.

The team will resume their qualification journey in September with crucial fixtures against Chad and Mali, followed by matches against Comoros and the Central African Republic to close out the group stage.
