Ken Kuranchie, legal counsel for Prof. Christopher Ameyaw-Akumfi, former Board Chairman of the Public Procurement Authority, has strongly defended his client’s innocence amid an ongoing investigation by the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB).
Prof. Ameyaw-Akumfi is under scrutiny over financial approvals made during his tenure as Board Chairman of the Ghana Infrastructural Investment Fund (GIIF).
While details of the case remain undisclosed, Kuranchie has called for patience, emphasizing due process.
Speaking in an interview he stated, “Investigations have just started, so let us wait and see what unfolds. My client is innocent—completely innocent of all charges. But we shall see; let the government build its case.”
