Dr. Henry Kwabena Kokofu, a former Member of Parliament for Bantama Constituency, has urged Ghanaians, particularly residents of the Ashanti Region, to reject former President John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming December 7, 2024, elections.
In an interview on the Ghana ‘Se Sen’ program on Lawson TV/Radio, Dr. Kokofu labeled Mr. Mahama as “incompetent” and accused him of seeking to reclaim the presidency to advance personal and family interests.
He alleged that during his previous tenure, Mr. Mahama allocated the $350 billion Nyinahin Bauxite Concession to his brother Ibrahim Mahama and may now want to regain power to further exploit the region’s resources.
Dr. Kokofu called on Ashantis to vote overwhelmingly for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to safeguard their region’s interests and protect the legacies of the current administration.
