IMF Concludes Ghana Visit, Credit Facility Review Slated for April 2025

A delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), led by Stéphane Roudet, wrapped up a visit to Ghana from February 10-14, during which they engaged government officials and stakeholders on the country’s economic progress.

Following the visit, Roudet highlighted that Ghana’s adherence to key commitments under the IMF-supported program was reviewed. These commitments will be formally evaluated in the fourth review of the Extended Credit Facility arrangement, scheduled for April 2025.

The discussions also covered recent macroeconomic trends and initial talks on policies shaping Ghana’s 2025 budget, with further engagements expected in the coming weeks.

The IMF expressed gratitude to Ghanaian authorities and stakeholders for their cooperation, acknowledging meetings with President Mahama, Finance Minister Forson, Bank of Ghana Acting Governor Asiama, and other key figures.
