Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Running Mate for the 2024 presidential election, has reaffirmed his dedication to fostering party unity as his primary goal.

Speaking at an NPP meeting on April 16, he stressed the importance of internal cohesion to secure success in the upcoming polls.

“My focus right now is on uniting the party to ensure we have a strong, united front for the eventual selection of a flagbearer,” he explained, underlining his commitment to strengthening the party’s unity.

Addressing rumors about his future political aspirations, particularly a possible presidential run in 2028, Dr. Prempeh firmly dismissed the speculation, stating, “No, I am not running in 2028.”

His comments are seen as an effort to eliminate distractions and reaffirm his dedication to supporting the NPP’s campaign for 2028.
