Hansi Flick Rewards Barcelona Stars with Bonus Day After Humiliating Real Madrid
La Blaugrana's Historic Win Over Real Madrid Leads to Extra Rest
- Barcelona secured a commanding 4-0 win over Real Madrid
- Flick praised his players' outstanding mentality and defensive performance
- The coach granted his squad an extra day off to celebrate and recover
Barcelona’s head coach Hansi Flick has gifted his players a well-deserved break following their dazzling 4-0 triumph over Real Madrid in El Clasico.
The team returns to Catalonia boasting a six-point lead at the top of La Liga after one of their most memorable performances in Madrid.
Despite the pressure of playing against the reigning Spanish champions having not won there since 2022 Flick’s squad rose to the occasion, particularly in the second half, where they scored four goals to secure a dominant victory.
Thrilled by the achievement, Flick emphasized the strong mentality of his team and announced an additional day off for his players to relax and celebrate. “When I started here, my goal was to foster an environment where players can excel. Their mentality is outstanding,” he expressed after the match.
“We defended excellently today. We must keep this momentum going. Now, we can head home and enjoy this win with an extra two days off.”
The squad is set to return to training on October 29, gearing up for their upcoming derby against Espanyol on November 3.
