The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) has cautioned the public about a deceptive online recruitment scam being circulated, especially through the website GOLERNERSHUB.COM, which is falsely claiming to offer protocol recruitment opportunities.
In an official statement dated June 2, 2025, and signed by Assistant Commissioner of Immigration and Head of Public Affairs, M. Amoako-Atta, the GIS firmly denied any association with the portal or any ongoing recruitment activity.
The Service clarified that it has not authorised any individual, organisation, or website to conduct recruitment or distribute protocol forms on its behalf.
The GIS further highlighted that it has not received the necessary government approval to initiate any recruitment processes at this time.
Citizens were reassured that any authentic recruitment announcements would be made through recognized and trusted platforms, including national newspapers and GIS’s official communication channels.
The release also noted that GIS’s Intelligence Unit, working in conjunction with other national security agencies, is actively investigating the scam to track down and prosecute the perpetrators.
In closing, the GIS strongly advised the public to ignore any messages or requests from GOLERNERSHUB.COM or similar unofficial sources, warning that engaging with such platforms is at the individual’s own risk.
