Kobina Tahir Hammond, the outgoing Member of Parliament for Adansi Asokwa, has expressed deep emotions about both his departure from Parliament and the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) exit from power.
In a video released on January 4, 2024, by Graphic Online, Hammond said, “I feel sorry for Ghanaians because I am exiting power. I have been thinking about it so hard.”
The veteran politician, who was defeated in the 2024 parliamentary elections, lost his seat to Godwin Animli Dorgbadzi Dorani of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Hammond received 13,275 votes, while Dorani triumphed with 14,229 votes.
