Ghanaians Have Spoken and They’ve Given Us a Big Challenge – NDC
NDC Acknowledges Voters' Mandate and Prepares to Tackle Economic and Governance Issues
- NDC acknowledges the responsibility presented by the overwhelming voter support
- The party aims to address Ghana's economic challenges and improve governance
- NDC leadership commits to fulfilling promises to the people of Ghana
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has acknowledged the voice of the people following the December 7 general election.
The NDC described the outcome as a clear mandate and a significant challenge for the party.
Speaking on the Lawson TV/Radio Ghana Se Sen Morning Show with Kwame Tanko, former Ashanti Regional Minister under the NDC, Hon. Alexander John Ackon, emphasized that the overwhelming support from Ghanaians has presented both a responsibility and an opportunity to address the country’s pressing issues.
The party is now gearing up to meet the expectations set by voters, particularly in tackling economic difficulties and improving governance.
Hon. John Ackon assured that the NDC will continue its focus on the welfare of Ghanaians and fulfill its promises as they navigate the path forward, fully aware of the big challenge ahead.
However, he pointed out that the NPP government’s poor economic performance, especially the hardships faced by the business community, contributed to their defeat at the polls.
“When the people suffer, they wait for the right moment to act, and the time came,” he said.
