The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has reported six additional Mpox cases, raising the national tally to 85 as of June 9, 2025.
According to the latest update, the country has not recorded any new fatalities, keeping the death toll at zero since the onset of the outbreak.
At present, only one patient is hospitalized and receiving treatment.
GHS emphasized that Mpox is a contagious viral infection that primarily spreads through direct contact with infected individuals.
While the outbreak is currently under control, health officials are urging the public to stay alert and adhere to safety guidelines.
The public is advised to seek medical attention if they notice symptoms and to avoid close contact with suspected cases to help curb transmission.
