The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed that changes are imminent for the Black Stars’ technical team.

Henry Asante Twum, GFA Communications Director, revealed that the association is preparing to part ways with coaches John Paintsil and Joseph Laumann, with new appointments to be made.

This decision is part of ongoing efforts to bolster the technical staff for the Black Stars, who are managed by Otto Addo.

Asante Twum elaborated on the developments during an interview with Joy Sports, explaining that the need for changes had been discussed during an Executive Council meeting. Following a report from Otto Addo, various factors, including the technical team and other support staff, were carefully reviewed.

“The Council discussed all departments, including the technical staff and other service providers. After extensive discussions and analysis, the decision was made that changes were necessary,” he stated.

While the official announcements have yet to be made, the adjustments are expected to be finalized ahead of the Black Stars’ preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in March.
