Holy Family KG/Mataheko R/C Primary School has officially entered the prestigious Perfect Series Basic Schools Assessment Contest, joining the ranks of schools striving for academic excellence.
The school held its audition on Monday, March 3, 2025, marking its debut in the highly competitive contest.
Speaking to Lawson News, the headmistress, Mrs. Yvette Abebirago, highlighted that the school organizes quiz competitions every term to sharpen students’ academic abilities.
She revealed that the outstanding performance of Salvation Army Basic School in the maiden edition motivated them to take part this year.
She emphasized the importance of such competitions, stating that assessments should not be limited to the classroom alone.
However, she also called for a review of the financial requirements, noting that many eager students are unable to participate due to cost constraints.
Mrs. Abebirago expressed confidence in her students, affirming that they are fully prepared for the challenge. Teachers echoed this sentiment, believing that Mataheko R/C Primary has what it takes to win the trophy.
