Former National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Freddie Blay, has commended President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for remaining true to his principles throughout his political career, including his eight-year tenure as President.

Blay’s remarks counter criticisms suggesting the President’s character or priorities shifted after assuming office.

With just three days left in his term, President Akufo-Addo delivered his final State of the Nation Address on January 3, 2025, highlighting his administration’s achievements.

Reflecting on the President’s legacy, Blay emphasized that Akufo-Addo consistently upheld the values and commitments he championed from the start of his presidency.

“The principle is that he has not deviated from the impression he gave eight years ago. On the contrary, indeed, he has reinforced in me the belief that confidence in good leaders pays off,” Blay remarked. “Tirelessly, the man has worked hard for this country.”
