Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku is expected to be fit and available for Leicester City’s pre-season preparations ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

The 20-year-old, who has been sidelined since November due to an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury sustained during Ghana’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola, has been making steady progress in his recovery. Earlier this week, Issahaku was seen participating in light training with the squad, ahead of their final match of the season.

In a video shared on Leicester City’s social media platforms, Issahaku expressed his confidence about returning to full fitness in time for pre-season.

“I’ve been working so hard. My rehab has been excellent, thanks to the physios, management, and my teammates. Everyone has been so supportive,” he said. “I’ll be ready before pre-season.”

The promising attacker completed his final rehab session before heading off for a short holiday break and reiterated his eagerness to return to competitive action.

“I can’t wait to be back on the field, running again, fighting for the badge as always,” he added.

Issahaku missed the remainder of Leicester’s season following the injury, during which the Foxes endured a tough campaign that ended in relegation to the Championship. His return will be a major boost for the club as they aim to bounce back to the Premier League.
