‘Even When I Cry, He Doesn’t Stop’ – Woman Begs for Divorce Over Husband’s ‘Excessive’ Sexual Demands

A 37-year-old woman, Linda Stephen, has petitioned a Kaduna Customary Court to dissolve her marriage, citing her husband’s excessive sexual demands as unbearable.
Linda, who resides in Ungwan Sunday, Kaduna, accused her husband, Felix Stephen, of subjecting her to relentless lovemaking sessions from midnight until dawn.
She also alleged that he physically abused her whenever she resisted his advances.
“I can’t take it anymore. He wants sex all the time, and even when I cry, he doesn’t stop. I moved out three months ago, and his relatives have been begging me to return, but they don’t know what I’ve endured,” she told the court.
She further stated that Felix had no self-control and often beat her in front of their two children whenever she refused him.
Husband Begs for Another Chance
In response, Felix admitted his actions but pleaded with the court not to grant the divorce, professing his deep love for his wife.
“I know I have a problem, but I’m ready to control my urges. I’ve taken my uncles and friends to her family to plead with her, but she walked out on us,” he lamented.
Presiding Judge John Dauda adjourned the case to May 6, urging both parties to seek reconciliation while maintaining peace.
