As Ghanaians celebrated the arrival of 2025, tragedy struck at Esereso, located in the Bosomtwe Constituency of the Ashanti Region.
A man in his late 30s, identified as Owura Kwame, lost his life after being hit by a car while crossing the road on New Year’s Eve.
Eyewitnesses report that the driver fled the scene immediately after the incident.
Locals, including those attending 31st Watch Night services, gathered around in sorrow to mourn his untimely death.
The lifeless body of Owura Kwame was later transported to the morgue for further investigation.
