The West Ham striker, who suffered a broken leg and hospitalization, was visibly moved by the outpouring of support from fans.
A large banner reading “Michail Antonio – our number 9” was unveiled, celebrating the club’s all-time Premier League top scorer with 68 goals.
Head coach Graham Potter expressed his joy at Antonio’s return and praised his resilience. “It’s a big thing that he’s had to deal with, and he’s dealt with it fantastically,” Potter said, emphasizing the club’s support for Antonio’s recovery.
Antonio’s appearance comes after he last played for West Ham in their 3-1 defeat to Leicester City on December 3, 2024.
