President John Dramani Mahama has assured Ghanaians of proactive measures to address the country’s economic challenges and restore stability.
Speaking as the keynote speaker at the Chinese Lantern Festival Gala at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Sunday, February 9, he emphasized the importance of strategic efforts and international partnerships in tackling Ghana’s economic hurdles.
Mahama also lauded the strong relationship between Ghana and China, describing China as a key development partner. He highlighted the critical role of international collaboration in addressing both global and national issues while committing to Ghana’s economic recovery and sustainable development.
“As we celebrate tonight, let us reflect on the deeper message of this festival. The world today faces many challenges—economic uncertainty, global conflicts, climate change, and emerging health concerns. Yet, the light of this festival reminds us that even in times of darkness, hope must never be lost,” Mahama said.
