- ORAL targets stolen state assets, including lands, vehicles, and dubious contracts
- The initiative features experts like Daniel Domelovo and Martin Kpebu
Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Chairman of the newly launched Operation Recover All Loots (ORAL), has revealed he faces daily threats from those opposed to the initiative.
In an interview on Monday, January 13, Ablakwa stated, “Threats have become a daily feature, but we have tough skin, and we know the Good Lord will protect us.”
Despite facing propaganda, fake news, and personal attacks, he emphasized his unwavering commitment to the mission: “We remain unaffected, we are resolute and focused.”
ORAL, spearheaded by the National Democratic Congress (NDC), aims to identify, investigate, and reclaim state assets allegedly misappropriated during the Akufo-Addo administration. The initiative targets properties such as lands, vehicles, revenues, and questionable contracts.
The high-profile team includes former Auditor-General Daniel Domelovo, retired Commissioner of Police Nathaniel Kofi Boakye, legal expert Martin Kpebu, and investigative journalist Raymond Archer.
Ablakwa disclosed that numerous cases are already under investigation, with findings to be forwarded to the Attorney General for possible prosecution.
