Crash at Winneba Junction: 3 Dead, 15 Injured in Fiery Collision
A tragic encounter between two vehicles leaves a community mourning and raises urgent road safety concerns

A horrific accident at Tailer Junction near Winneba claimed three lives and left 15 others injured.
The collision involved a Toyota Vitz and a Toyota Hiace passenger vehicle, with the Vitz attempting to overtake a tricycle when it struck the O.A. Express car traveling from Accra to Obuasi.
According to D.O.2 Fredrick Adu-Poku, Commander of the Winneba Municipal Fire Service, both vehicles veered off the road and ended up in a ditch. Tragically, one man and two women died at the scene, while the injured were rushed to Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital for medical attention.
Adu-Poku urged drivers to exercise caution, especially with the festive season approaching, to help prevent further road accidents. The incident occurred on Sunday, October 20, 2024, around 5:30 PM.
