In a decisive ruling, the Human Rights Court has thrown out Charles Bissue’s case against the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), ordering him to pay GH₵10,000 for what it deemed a misuse of the court’s time.
Bissue had alleged that the OSP obtained an arrest warrant unlawfully to harass him, describing the warrant as a figment of his imagination.
The legal dispute began when Bissue secured a temporary injunction to prevent his arrest, claiming the OSP was unfairly targeting him.
However, Justice Nana Brew concluded there was no evidence that such an arrest warrant existed and dismissed the case, imposing the cost on Bissue to cover the proceedings.
