Twenty students of Salaga Senior High School in the East Gonja Municipality, Savannah Region, have been arrested following a violent brawl that left one person with multiple stab wounds.

The chaotic fight, described as a free-for-all, disrupted campus peace and prompted swift police intervention. During the operation, officers recovered a locally manufactured pistol and a round of ammunition from the scene.

Investigations are underway to uncover the cause of the altercation and identify those responsible for the violence.

School authorities have condemned the incident, with an official stating, “We have handed them over to the police and expect thorough screening. Those found culpable should face the full weight of the law. We are extremely disappointed by the actions of the students.”

Of the twenty students apprehended, 17 have been granted bail, while three remain in custody as police continue to gather statements from the suspects.
