A devastating fire has swept through a section of the Kumasi Central Market at Adum PZ, reducing numerous shops and goods to ashes.
The inferno, which broke out in the early hours of Friday, March 21, has left traders in shock and despair, marking the second major fire incident in a short period.
The exact cause of the fire remains unknown.
According to Lawson TV/Radio reporter Papa Dat, about eight fire tenders, over 200 police officers, military personnel, and two ambulances are currently at the scene, working tirelessly to contain the flames and restore order.
The affected building primarily housed shops selling mobile phones and phone accessories.
Heartbroken traders have been seen weeping uncontrollably as they assess their losses.
