Brake Failure Horror: Three Dead in Techiman-Wenchi Highway Crash
A KIA Rhino truck veered off its lane after a brake failure, colliding with a taxi and claiming three lives in a tragic accident at Nkonsia

Three people lost their lives in a fatal accident on the Techiman-Wenchi highway in the Bono Region on Thursday morning.
The crash happened at Nkonsia, a farming community in the Wenchi Municipality, when a KIA Rhino truck, loaded with cashew nuts, collided with a Daewoo Matiz taxi heading towards Techiman.
According to the Wenchi Municipal Commander of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), DOII Eric Boateng, the KIA Rhino’s brakes failed, causing it to veer off its lane and crash into the taxi.
Two male passengers in the taxi died instantly, while a female passenger succumbed to her injuries at the Wenchi Methodist Hospital.
The mate of the KIA Rhino sustained a minor forehead injury and is receiving treatment at the same hospital.
Meanwhile, the bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the Wenchi Methodist Hospital morgue, awaiting autopsy.
