For the first time in nearly a year, Ghana has risen in the FIFA rankings, moving up to 76th place after securing consecutive victories in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

While Ghana’s global position has improved, they remain 14th among African teams. Coach Otto Addo will be hoping for further progress as his squad gears up for the highly anticipated Unity Cup 2025 in London.
The Black Stars will face Nigeria in a thrilling West African derby on May 28, 2025, after previously beating them 4-1 in London. The Unity Cup, featuring Ghana, Nigeria, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago, will run from May 27-31, 2025.
Following the tournament, Ghana’s World Cup qualification campaign continues with crucial matches against Chad, Mali, Central African Republic, and Comoros in the fall.
