Barcelona will face Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final after a tight aggregate victory over Atletico Madrid. Ferran Torres’ first-half goal secured a 1-0 win at the Metropolitano Stadium, enough to edge the tie following their previous 4-4 draw.

Torres’ decisive strike came after a brilliant pass from 17-year-old Lamine Yamal, who was a constant threat throughout the match. Raphinha also had opportunities to extend Barcelona’s lead.

While Atletico Madrid had chances, including a missed opportunity by substitute Alexander Sorloth, Barcelona largely controlled the tense affair. The Catalan giants extended their unbeaten run to 21 games and remain the only team in Europe’s top-five leagues undefeated in 2025, keeping their quadruple hopes alive.

The Copa del Rey final against Real Madrid, the eighth El Clasico in the competition’s history, will be held in Seville on April 26th.

This highly anticipated clash comes just over two weeks before another potentially crucial league encounter between the two rivals.

Barcelona, who have already won the Spanish Super Cup, currently lead La Liga by three points over Real Madrid and will also face Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League quarter-finals.
